Our 5★ Dive Resort is owned and managed by a Balinese Family from Amed Lipah comprised of 3 brothers Diri, Nyoman and Sasa. WSD staff was invited by Nyoman to celebrate the 3 month anniversary of his son : The nelu Bulanin.

Nelu Bulanin is a ceremony held when the baby is three months old according to the Balinese calendar, namely 105 days after birth. At that age, the baby’s five senses are active. The activation of these five senses in the future can have positive and negative impacts on the purity of the Atman that animates him. The aim of implementing Nelu Bulanin is to clean or purify babies. From birth, it is believed that the baby is still dirty (cuntaka). So, it is necessary to carry out the NeluBulanin ceremony for purification because the baby’s five senses that are active influence the purity of the Atma that animates the baby.
